Where do I Get Information?
My main source of information depends on the subject I'm looking for. I still use the New York Times, as a main source and branch off from that. The next step is local news casts, that i search out on the Internet, using the Major networks news sites. from there i go to local newspapers (i.e. Newsday) to find out how it affects my area personally. From there i go to more Internet political based news/entertainment sites, (Drudge Report, Huffington Post) and if i got that far that means my decision is truly researched on an issue that i completely understand. when it comes to things I'm interested in Radio, Music, Television, and other entertainment i stick straight to the Internet, and google.
What Services and Tech do I use?
well for personal information, news within my circle of friends, i use Twitter and Facebook. When it comes to my hobbies, i use message boards. People who are just as knowledgeable as i am to the subject as I am, and can shed insight into other peoples thoughts on the subject. When it comes to things that i care about, but don't mind not knowing (explanation, i love football... but work every Sunday from sun up to sun down so i can't watch.) I get the news sent directly to my Cell phone. as it comes to news, I use applications on my phone, such as AP, Internet based applications.
how do they affect my life?
I am much More informed all around, but with a lot more stuff i don't care about. the things i do care about, and want to know about are much more informed than they ever were. the problem is almost information overload, the sifting through the information is how it affects my life.
